Let’s Get Fit: Spring Exercise Clothes

It’s starting to get really warm and humid here already, and I’m having flashbacks to last summer when I barely exercised outside at all. Not good. I don’t want to repeat that again so I need to find some summer / spring exercise clothes that will keep me cool (and fast).

I was browsing Nordstrom’s website (always a favorite pastime!), and I found a cute cut-out tank. It seemed like the perfect thing! It basically has built in air-conditioning, but it’s not too bare.

I decided to build a colorful and fun outfit around the tank.

The grey tank goes is really versatile and could go with anything, really. I chose to pair it with a fun purple that reminds me of Radiant Orchid, Pantone’s Color of the Year. The purple really brightens up the grey. Once the weather gets really hot, I’d replace the capris with a pair of shorts. For cooler days – I’m sure there’s still a few left – just add a hoodie. I have a few hoodies from Lucy, and the thumb holes on this one are a great feature!

The tank has a built-in shelf bra, but I’d wear a regular sports bra for added support. This one from Glamorise comes in cup sizes from C to G, making it perfect for us well-endowed ladies.

Cute accessories are a necessity, of course! A patterned headband and colorful shoes are pretty and functional, too. And I love these white aviators from Oakley. I definitely need a pair of those. If it’s too hot and you’re headed to the gym, don’t leave without a great bag to hold all of your stuff. The fun graffiti pattern on this MZ Wallace bag caught my eye immediately.

Finally, don’t forget sunscreen! If you’ve read any of my beauty posts, you’ll know I never leave home without it (rain or shine). Supergoop! is a favorite of mine.
