Dip your toe into seasonal decorating by adding a touch of cozy holiday decor to your home!
Have you done any holiday decorating yet?
I love decorating at this this time of year, and since it takes a while to get all my holiday decorations up, I like to enjoy it for as long as possible.
I'll definitely put up my tree before Thanksgiving, but I'm not ready to go full on Christmas just yet (give me a week!).
I couldn't resist adding a little sparkle to my home though, so I decided to add a touch of cozy holiday decor that will take me through Thanksgiving and beyond.
Cozy Holiday Decor
The inspiration for my cozy holiday decor was a gorgeous Gathered Faux Fur Throw from Pottery Barn.
This stunning throw is pure comfort! From the minute I pulled it out of the box, all I wanted to do was curl up under it.
Because my throw was so beautiful, I decided to keep the rest of my decorating simple and neutral.
I paired my comfy throw with gold accents, plus a cup of hot cocoa to help me get in the holiday spirit!
I have been coveting a faux fur throw for a while now, and this lovely one definitely exceeds my expectations. It's so beautiful and soft, and the ivory color is dreamy.
For the holidays, I draped the throw over my blue chair, making it easy to grab whenever I feel like wrapping myself in it.
I also added two pillows, a new one decorated with gold and silver dots (perfect for the holidays and beyond), as well as my favorite gold sequin pillow.
This is my idea of cozy holiday decor!
Don't you just want to snuggle up on that chair?
I added a little bling to my lamp, too.
This lamp usually has a my DIY blue suede tassel hanging from it, but for the holidays, I replaced the tassel with a few mini Christmas ornaments that I attached to the lamp with a little string.
I love this cute, glittery touch, and it only took minutes to make!
Pottery Barn also sent me a couple Gathered Faux Fur Pillow Covers, perfect for glamming up my couch!
Just like the throw, these pillows are soft and luxurious ... the ideal accent to my cozy holiday decor.
I don't like anything too matchy-matchy, so I paired the faux fur pillows with an eclectic mix of pillows, ranging from an animal print to a more traditional tonal pattern.
The look is perfect for the holiday season, yet it would be appropriate all winter long, too.
I haven't talked too much about my new apartment yet, but we live in a loft that was converted from an office building / department store.
The ceilings are soaring, and there is a set of huge windows (probably at least 12 feet tall) on this end of my apartment.
The windows let in tons of light and warmth, which is much appreciated as the weather finally cools off.
Here's a view of the whole couch ... I've been playing with the pillows to get the perfect arrangement.
Don't you want to sink in?
As I was digging through my Christmas decorations, I found this cute, glittery tree.
It makes a pretty accent next to the couch, when paired with my brass elephant and a favorite candle.
These DIY Mini Christmas Trees would look so pretty here, too!
My final bit of cozy holiday decor is on my coffee table.
I found this glass cloche years ago at a thrift store, and it's one of my all-time favorite finds!
It's fun filling it with seasonal items, like I did here with a candle, mini ornaments, and glittered pine cones.
I'm definitely planning to do more decorating, but I think this is a good start.
It's definitely put me in the holiday spirit!
