I fell in love with tissue paper tassels a few years ago. These adorable tassels can be made in any color, and they’re a pretty way to decorate for any party.
A couple weeks ago, I stumbled across a pack of ombre tissue paper. It was so beautiful, and the wheels in my mind immediately started spinning!
I used the pink tissue for my DIY Tissue Paper Tassel Garland, but the pack also includes coordinating red and purple shades of tissue … and of course, you can use any color tissue you’d like. FYI … Paper Source has the best selection of tissue paper colors in my opinion!
- tissue paper (I used this ombre tissue paper, but Paper Source has great colors, and of course, Amazon has a big selection, too.)
- string to hang the garland
The tissue paper I used measured 20 x 20-inches. Keep in mind that if your paper is a different size, your tassels will look slightly different than mine.
Start by folding the paper in half.
Carefully roll up the tissue paper. While you roll up the tissue, straighten and untangle the fringe as much as possible.
This is all much easier to do than it is to explain, I promise! And how pretty do the finished tassels look?!?
