Improve the appearance of your skin with four easy anti-aging skin care tips—from developing a routine to choosing the best products!
As someone with very pale skin, I've always been protective of my face.
I've never been one to lay out in the sun (hello, sunburn!), and I started wearing sunblock daily in my twenties. Through the years, I've also experimented with different anti-aging creams and products, always with an eye on warding off impending wrinkles!
Of course, as I've gotten older a few fine lines and spots have started to appear. It's inevitable, but I'm doing my best minimize the effects of aging.
4 Easy Anti-Aging Skin Care Tips
Maintaining a youthful appearance doesn't need to take a lot of time or money. Today, I'm sharing my favorite anti-aging skin care tips that are perfect for anyone, whether you're still in twenties or you already have a few wrinkles like me!
1. Develop an Anti-Aging Skin Care Routine
The most important thing you can do for your skin is to establish an anti-aging skin care routine. It doesn't have to be time-consuming or expensive, the key is consistency.
Wash your face morning and night with a gentle cleanser, avoiding anything that's harsh or leaves your skin feeling stripped and dry. Never wear makeup to bed. It will clog your pores!

Of course, hydrated skin is one of the keys to preventing wrinkles. You'll want to choose the best anti-aging wrinkle cream you can find, and Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream is an excellent choice!
But don't take my word for it! In an independent test by the Good Housekeeping Institute, Olay Regenerist (which can be found online for under $30) outperformed 10 top prestige creams, including one with a $440 price tag!
I love that instead of spending hundred of dollars on prestige creams that over-promise and under-deliver, I can get the best possible anti-aging skin care at a fraction of the cost!
Plus, Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream is not only an anti-aging cream. It's a moisturizing and plumping powerhouse, too, and hydration is one of the key benefits for younger women seeking preventative anti-aging measures.
My favorite thing about Olay Regenerist is how fast acting it is!
I've only been using this rich cream for about a week, and already my skin looks so much more hydrated. I'm loving the extra glow and brightness that Olay Regenerist has brought to my skin, and I can't wait to see the results in a couple weeks!

2. Protect Your Skin From the Sun
Sun exposure can lead to early wrinkles. The good news is that it's easy to limit your skin's exposure to the sun.
Getting in the habit of wearing sunscreen is one of the best things you can do for your skin. Wear a high SPF sunscreen every day, rain or shine, whether you'll be in the office or at the park.
Don't forget to apply sunscreen to your neck and chest (as well as other exposed areas, like the part in your hair and your hands), too. I'm definitely guilty of forgetting to apply sunscreen on my chest, and now I have a big sunspot to show for it!
When you know you'll be in the sun all day, make sure to take extra precautions. Put on a hat and wear sunglasses to protect your eyes. I also like to walk on the shady side of the street whenever possible. It drives my husband a little crazy, but he's learned to live with it!
Right now, Sun Bum is my favorite everyday ... it's all natural and I love it!
3. Practice Healthy Habits
In addition to creating a great anti-aging skin care routine and protecting your skin from the sun, start practicing healthy habits.
Getting enough sleep is one of the best things you can do to improve the look of your skin at any age. Set a consistent bedtime and stick with it. This is one tip I am still trying to master, but I'm working on it.
You'll also want to drink plenty of water (limit soda, caffeine, and alcohol consumption) and eat whole foods whenever possible. Processed foods contain excess salt and sugar, along with lots of other mystery ingredients, that can make you look and feel bloated.

Also, start a consistent exercise routine. Exercise gets your blood pumping and makes your skin glow. If it's been a while since you've worked out, I've got some great tips for Easing Back into Working Out to help.
4. Choose the Right Makeup
If you're a beauty junkie like me, choose the right makeup when those fine lines start to appear! My easy makeup tips will get your started.
After you apply sunblock, smooth a primer all over your face. A good primer will diminish the appearance of wrinkles, plus it will keep your makeup from settling into fine lines.
When choosing products, avoid heavy foundations and powders, which have a tendency to highlight wrinkles. Use lighter foundations, tinted moisturizers, or a CC/BB cream instead. Cream blushes will give your skin a natural, youthful glow, too.
My skin is oily, so I like to use sheer, lightweight powder, but if your skin is dry you can probably skip powder all together.
Lastly, don't skip your eyebrows! A great pair of defined, perfectly arched brows will open up your eyes and face.
