Happy Friday! Did you survive the week? Mine has crawled by, and I'm ready for the weekend. Can you believe that it is November already?
Mini apple tarts that I made for Joel. Recipe coming soon!
My husband's out of town this weekend, so it's all Ginnie, all the time! I'm looking forward to some me time. We're talking Lifetime movie marathons (the best!), a DIY spa day, catching up on my favorite fashion/design mags, and maybe even a mini-feast with foods the hubby won't eat (anything with olives or capers).
In the meantime, here are some things that piqued my interest this week:
It's getting colder, so reuse that old sweater to make mittens.
OK, this totally cracked me up: a twenty-something party vs. a thirty-something party.
I love the idea of keeping candles in an unused fireplace. My fireplace actually works, but we don't use it (fear of burning down our building). The neighbors below me do use their fireplace though, so I'm wondering if the heat would make our candles melt. Hmm ...
A beautiful fall day in Central Park!
I found this colorful leaf on a walk earlier this week.
I love this longer, fuller ponytail tutorial - perfect for us ladies with fine hair!
15 ways to amp up your eyeliner game - who knew?
Did you know that you can remove sticker gunk with cooking spray? Genius! I have a few things I need to try this on.
Another gorgeous day in Central Park - the views makes exercise more fun!
Continuing my quest to consume as much pumpkin as possible, I made these Pumpkin Cheesecake Swirl Brownies this week, and they were amazing!
What could make these healthy Butternut Squash and Black Bean Tostadas even better? Creamy avocado dressing!
Have you heard of creativeLIVE? They offer free (!!!) workshops - and these aren't dinky 1 hour webinars - in photography, design, business, etc. You watch online and can interact with the instructors. I took one last week on using color in design with Tobi Fairley, and it was amazing!
Our neighbors really went all out when they decorated their house for Halloween!
What is your favorite thing to do when you have a little alone time?
P.S. Follow me on Pinterest to keep up with everything that catches my eye!
