Hi, friends! The weekend is almost upon us.
I went to an event a C. Wonder earlier this week and saw lots of fun gift ideas. Wouldn't these ornaments make a cute present?
My husband and I are going to seeing Catching Fire this morning. Movie tickets are crazy expensive here in New York, so it pays to go early in the day to get the $8 bargain rate. I'm super excited. Have you seen it?
Other than that, my weekend plans are going to be all about getting up my holiday decorations. Normally, I like to decorate right after Thanksgiving (I've even put up my tree before Thanksgiving on a few occasions), so I'm feeling behind. It's a lot of work, so I like to enjoy it for as long as possible.
Anyway ... I've rounded up some of my favorite links for your reading pleasure!
These Christmas Chalkboard Printables from Live Laugh Rowe are so sweet and colorful.
I remember wrapping presents in newspaper as a kid. Here's a cute updated version.
I've always wanted to be able to do the splits (#DreamBig) ! Now, it's probably a lost cause, but just in case, I had to pin these 9 Stretches that promise to get me there.
As the weather cools off, I'm craving comfort food. These Roasted Corn and Ricotta Enchiladas with Chipotle Tomato Sauce from Naturally Ella would definitely hit the spot.
Pretty holiday decorations at The Shops at Columbus Circle.
The Londoner shared a recipe for Wild Mushroom Melts that looks cheesy and delicious!
Have you made your list and checked it twice? If not, Coming Home to Roost has a cute printable Christmas Gift List for you.
This Fruity Chocolate Bark from Love and Olive Oil looks delicious. It's covered in freeze-dried strawberries (among other fruits) from Trader Joe's, one of my favorite snacks!
We stumbled across the Holiday Market at Columbus Circle this week. There were so many unique gifts. It would be the perfect place to check lots of presents off your list.
I was saddened to hear the news of Nelson Mandela's passing yesterday. My husband, Joel, and I saw a screening of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom a couple weeks ago. I highly recommend you check it out.
This roundup of the Top 10 Most Dangerous Vintage Ads is crazy. "DDT is good for me-e-e!"
I really want to put together an all-White Christmas village, and these DIY Porcelain Holiday Tree Lights from A Beautiful Mess would be a great addition.
Any knitters out there? The Button Candy Hat from The Purl Bee is so sweet, just like the candy.
Peek-A-Boo! Isn't this holiday display at West Elm cute? I wanted to curl up in that bed!
Henry Happened shared a recipe for a Cranberry Tangerine Smoothie + a Guide to Winter Citrus. I can't wait to get my hands on some clementines!
Finally, why not celebrate the season with a decadent Candy Cane Cocktail? Cheers!
