My Meredith Vieira Show Appearance!

I'm bursting with excitement, and I can't wait to tell you why ... I was on The Meredith Vieira Show!

About a week ago, I received an email from one of the show's producers, who wanted to know if I had any unusual or interesting home remedies, such as cleaning or beauty tips.

I came up empty on cleaning ideas (you should see my apartment right now ... ha!), but I immediately thought of my DIY Soft, Silky Hands Tutorial.

I went to the studio to tape the segment, and it was so much fun. Of course, I could not resist taking a selfie (or two) in the dressing room!

The segment was set up so that three viewers of the show (myself and two other lovely ladies) demonstrated our home beauty remedies.

Then, a beauty expert from Women's Health magazine talked about why it would or would not work.

How gorgeous are my fellow guests?

Olga (on the left) is an aesthetician, who owns her own business and product line, OMG Brows. Jessica (on the right) is a well-known magazine editor, and she has her own style and beauty blog, Glamazons, too.

I had so much fun getting to know these ladies. We shared a dressing room and were laughing all morning, which definitely helped minimize any nerves.

I arrived at the studio super early and spent time getting my hair and makeup done, as well as rehearsing the segment. The main show guest was 50 Cent. I didn't get to meet him, but we went on right after him, so he passed right by me ... a literal brush with celebrity!

The actual taping went by so quickly. It was kind of a blur.

I think it went well though, and Meredith even tried my hand treatment! She was super sweet and friendly, as was everyone on the staff.

As if things couldn't get any better, I even got to take home a little swag. Isn't that the cutest cookie? It's meant to honor Meredith's dog, Jasper. I almost felt bad eating it!
