My husband and I spent this past weekend in Brooklyn kitty-sitting Rodney. He is definitely a feisty little guy, and it was lots of fun. Rodney likes to party at 5:00 am though, so I was happy to enjoy my own (quiet) bed again Sunday night!
When we weren't hanging out with Rodney, Joel and I were exploring Brooklyn. Our friends all live there, so we'll probably move there when our lease is up next February. Brooklyn is huge, so I want to scope out potential neighborhoods now instead of the middle of winter when we're ready to move.
Most of our exploring is done on foot, so a comfortable outfit was in order. For me that meant a floral print tank and a pair of white jeans. It was fairly humid, so I kept the adornments simple, which is pretty much my summer accessories style in a nutshell!
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban Classic Wayfarer XL; Top: old; Earrings: similar
My husband took these photos, and he is a very reluctant photographer to say the least. The photo above was taken near the end of our "photo shoot," and we were both thinking, "I've had it!"
Shortly thereafter we stopped for some drinks, and all was well in the world again ... ha ha.
Turquoise Bracelet (old): similar, similar; Open Cuff : INEZ by boe; Polish: Julep Tamara
I absolutely love this turquoise bracelet, and I need to wear it more often. It was one of those items that I visited in the store a few times before buying it. Do you ever do that?
This isn't the best picture of the bracelet, but it has dangling bits of chain and smaller stones all around the bracelet. I paired it with a delicate open cuff bracelet that I wear constantly. It works perfectly with a stack of bracelets or on its own.
Jeans: Old Navy; Shoes: Converse
I finished the outfit with my Chucks. Is it just me, or are these the most uncomfortable shoes? Granted, I do usually wear them barefoot, but still!
What have you been wearing this summer?

I have a pair on converse but I find them quite comfy? I love your gorgeous light and breezy top. Gorgeous colours!
It may just be my feet, Lorna;) Thanks for stopping by!
I haven't actually even tried on a pair of Chucks, but now I won't! 😀 I love the outfit especially the top!
Ha ha ... I still wear mine, but they do hurt my feet. Other people love them though;)
Love the pattern of that top!! And super cute arm candy 🙂
Thanks, Rebecca! It's one of my favorite summer tops, and I always love a little arm candy:)

Hi, Melaina! I was linking to a few blogs at the same time, and did not update my post right away. Link and button are up:-)
Oh no! I'm sad that you think Chuck's are uncomfortable!! I love them! Your delicate accessories are so pretty! I love the cool earrings and the way you layered the two bracelets.

Maybe it's just my feet, Gina; Ha ha ... I'm not sure!
