Servings: 1 1/2 cups sauce
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Add brown sugar and cream. Stir until smooth.
Simmer over medium-low heat for 5 minutes.
Mix in salt and vanilla, then remove from heat.
Cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
- Refrigerate any unused caramel sauce.
- To reheat caramel sauce: heat for 15 seconds in the microwave, stir, then repeat as needed until hot.
