Notes
You can make this recipe with any amount (or type) of coffee ... it's perfect for using up leftover coffee! I made the cubes with freshly brewed coffee, however cold brew, espresso, instant coffee, and other varieties may also be used. The amount of cubes you get will vary depending on the size of your ice cube tray (and how much coffee you use). I recommend using a silicone tray, which makes it much easier to remove the cubes once they're frozen. This is the ice cube tray that I used (and recommend!). It comes in a set of two trays, both with lids.If you'd like, you can add sweeteners (like simple syrup or granulated / brown sugar), milk and other flavorings (such as flavored syrups, vanilla extract, or spices) to the coffee before making the cubes. I personally prefer to add these ingredients later, when preparing a coffee drink with the frozen cubes. That way, the flavor of the cubes is more versatile, and they can be used for different drinks.Make sure to read the info before this recipe card for tips, variations, drink ideas for using the cubes, and so much more!
