Peel and chop the mango. Remove as much flesh as possible without using the fibrous bits closer to the seed.
Transfer chopped fruit to blender or food processor, then puree until totally smooth.
Add enough water to thin mango puree to a drinkable consistency. (I used equal parts puree and water, however this is customizable; see note.)
Stir in sweetener to taste and add a squeeze of fresh lime juice (if using).
Drink immediately or store in an air tight container until ready to serve. Enjoy!
Notes
This recipe can be prepared with as many mangos as you'd like. Just keep in mind that the juice tastes best when enjoyed within a day or two.I used one 12 ounce (340 gram) mango to prepare this recipe, which yielded 1 cup mango chunks (and ¾ cup puree). The calorie count will vary based on the size of your mango and how much sweetener you use, however the calories noted above are based on 1 cup chopped mango + 1 tablespoon maple syrup (one serving).Feel free to adjust the amount of water to taste, just keep in mind that the more water you add, the less flavor the finished drink will have (since you are essentially watering it down). I used equal parts mango puree and water (¾ cup puree + ¾ cup water), however you could use less water for a thicker drink or more water for a lighter drink.Sweetener is totally optional ... you may not need any, depending on the sweetness of your mangos / your personal preferences. I used maple syrup, but honey, homemade sugar syrup, or other sweeteners may also be used.Make sure to read the info before this recipe card for helpful tips, step by step photos, and lots of easy variations!
