Thread a mozzarella ball on a skewer, followed by a basil leaf (folded in half, if necessary), then a grape tomato, and finally another basil leaf. Repeat layers one time, ending with a tomato.
Place skewers on a tray, then drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with a little salt.
Drizzle with balsamic glaze, if using.
Serve immediately. Enjoy!
Notes
To make the recipe ahead of time, prepare the skewers in the morning, then refrigerate them in an airtight container. When ready to serve, drizzle with olive oil (and balsamic, if using) and sprinkle salt and pepper. If you'd like to make this appetizer feed more people, use a shorter skewer (like these 4-inch skewers), and only add one of each ingredient (mozzarella, basil, tomato) when assembling them.If you don't have enough basil leaves, you can just add two per skewer (30 total), or you can tear the leaves into small pieces and scatter them over the skewers (like I did in the photos).Make sure to read the info before this recipe card for helpful tips, step by step photos, and more!
