Cut avocados in half, remove pits, then scoop fruit into a medium bowl.
Use a fork to mash avocado, making it as smooth or chunky as you like.
Add onion, lime juice, jalapeño, cilantro, and salt to avocados. Stir gently to combine.
Taste, then add more salt and / or lime juice to taste.
