It's the second Friday of 2014 already! What?

Snowy Central Park | Hello Little Home

Central Park is so beautiful in the snow!

Time flew by me too quickly this past year, so I'm hoping to slow down a bit and take more time to do the things I love this year.

This week was pretty uneventful for me. It was so cold that I just stayed in and started going a little crazy. I'm looking forward to getting out more this weekend. It's going to be in the mid-50s. How is that for a weather mood swing?

I've come across lots of inspiring ideas this week. Here are a few of my favorites.

I want to eat more salads this year, but I don't want to be starving an hour later. Know what I mean? This Roasted Kale, Broccolini, and Chickpeas Salad from Edible Living looks healthy, but filling.

If you are still looking for a cute 2014 calendar, then this *free* Cupcake Calendar Printable from Cupcake Clipart should do the trick.

Proof that you can still look glam while bundled up: Adventures in Dressmaking's Really Easy, 7-Minute Faux Fur Scarf Tutorial.

Julep Estelle Nail Polish | Hello Little Home

I painted my nails with Julep Estelle this week. It's black and sparkly with a sand texture. I love it!

I'd like to explore Brooklyn more this year, so Design Sponge's guide to 24 Hours in Brooklyn should come in handy.

Brighten up your home during these dreary winter days and make a Paint Dipped Balsa Wood Candle Holder from A Beautiful Mess. No fancy woodworking tools are necessary!

If you are looking to get more organized this year, check out Wit Wisdom and Food's DIY Home Decorating Binder. She's got 5 great shopping tips, too!

Upper West Side Street | Hello Little Home

Venturing out during the freezing weather this week. Brrr!

Mmm ... Kitchen Treaty shared a recipe for a Toasted Coconut Smoothie that I can't wait to try!

If you want to invent your own smoothie flavor, then learn How to Make the Perfect Healthy Smoothie in three simple steps (via Running to the Kitchen).

I love this idea! Make a Resolution Time Capsule (via 52 Weeks Project) and pack it up with your Christmas decorations so you can revisit your resolutions next December.

Snowy Neighborhood Street | Hello Little Home

    Fun in the snow!

My knitting needles are beckoning, and I love the beautiful simplicity of this Diagonal Pinstripe Scarf from The Purl Bee.

I love a breakfast sandwich, but they can be a pain to make, which is why I'm obsessed with owning this Hamilton Beach Breakfast Sandwich Makers. I'm not sure where it would fit in my tiny kitchen though!

Welcome the weekend with a Lemonberry Martini from A Beautiful Mess! Cheers!

I hope you have an awesome weekend! Anything fun planned?
