My husband and I are planning to spend Valentine's Day relaxing at home, eating a delicious dinner, and enjoying some wine. It's my favorite way to spend the day!
Even though we'll be staying in, I still want to wear something cute. Here's what I have in mind:
This has been a snowy, dark winter, so I'm brightening things up with spring colors, which are perfect for Valentine's Day by the way!
Sweater: Mossimo / Blouse: Mossimo / Jeans: Loft / Boots: Corso Como, old (similar)
My outfit was inspired by this mint green boyfriend cardigan. I love this soft, springy color!
It works perfectly with the lacey blouse.
I should have taken these pictures in the morning when there was less light in my apartment ... oops! The blouse looks solid, but it's actually chiffon with lace insets. Very pretty!
My favorite jeans and boots keep things casual, and of course, I had to add some fun jewelry.
Chain-Link Bracelet: Banana Republic, old (similar) / Pyramid Stud Bracelet: The Limited, old (similar) Cuff Bracelet: Inez / Hoops: old (similar) / Necklace: handmade (similar)
I was feeling matchy-matchy, so I manicured my nails with mint green polish and added a little heart nail art on one nail.
The heart was super easy. First, I polished my nails with Essie Mint Candy Apple. When the polish was mostly dry, I simply used a toothpick to carefully draw on the heart with Julep Sienna.
This is my first time attempting nail art, so if I can do it you can do it. Now I just need to make this manicure last until Friday!
What are your plans for Valentine's Day? Do you dress up?

Thanks so much, Jen! I had so much fun with that little heart:)
I did dress up and wear red! Love the mani!
Thanks, Nicole! I'm so happy you stopped by:)
This is all so cute. I often decorate for Valentin's by going through the house and collecting all the hearts I can find then make a display of them. The first time I did this, I was surprised by how many hearts I had!
I love that idea, Ellen! Thanks for stopping by:)
Your outfit is perfect for a casual date -in! I'm obsessed with mint right now, for myself and my newborn daughter...it's just such a fresh, beautiful colour. Looks great on you! And I love the gold heart detail...I'll have to borrow that idea 🙂 Thanks so much for popping by The Best of this Life today. Great to connect and I'll be back around soon.
Thanks, Emily! I'm loving mint, too. I kept seeing it last year, but never picked anything up with the color, so it was fun to finally try it out:) Thanks for stopping by!
That is so cute! And I love the brick wall in the background. So much character! 🙂
Thank you so much, Kristina! The brick wall is one of my favorite things about our apartment:)
