Have you started decorating for Halloween? I usually don't do too much, but it's fun to add a spooky touch here and there.
My niece will be visiting us for Halloween this year, so I have extra decorating motivation.
We'll probably do most of the decorating together, but I wanted to add a few festive touches, like this free printable Halloween Boo Banner ahead of time!
Printable Halloween Banner
Give me a holiday, and I'll give you a banner ... ha ha! I think they instantly scream party.
Last year, I made this DIY Sugar Skull Banner, and I still love it. Unfortunately, I can't remember where I packed it during the move (maybe with my Christmas stuff?!?). So a new banner was in order.
This free printable Halloween Banner is my latest creepy creation.
It's so easy to put together (see my tips below), and it's available in two sizes ... perfect if you're looking for cheap Halloween decoration ideas or Halloween party decoration ideas!
How to Assemble the Printable Halloween Banner
This Halloween Boo Banner was just the thing to put me in the Halloween Spirit!
Here's what you'll need to put together the small banner:
- free printable Halloween Boo Banner (scroll to end for PDF files)
- cardstock
- scissors
- twine
- transparent tape
- washi tape
This free printable Halloween banner comes in two sizes. I'll show you how to assemble the small banner first.
Print the banner on cardstock and cut out the individual flags.
Then, tape the twine to the back of the flags ... so simple!
Since the small banner is lightweight, I hung it up with washi tape. I think it looks sooo cute, and it's an easy DIY Halloween craft to do with kids!
I strung up the larger banner a little differently. Here's what you'll need:
- free printable Halloween Boo Banner (scroll to end for PDF files)
- cardstock
- scissors
- hole punch
- twine
Print the banner on cardstock, then cut it out. Use the hole punch to add a hole in both upper corners of each flag.
Pass the twine through one hole, from the front of the flag. Bring the twine along the back of the flag, then up through the other hole, from the back of the flag. Repeat this process with the remaining flags.
I like stringing banners this way, because it's adjustable. Simply slide the individual flags along the twine into the position you like.
Since the large banner is a little heavier, I'd recommend using Command Hooks to hang it.
I love how this free printable Halloween Boo Banner turned out!
How do you like this spider I picked up? I kind of love him ... although I wouldn't want to step on him in the middle of the night!
I found him at my local CVS, but if you'd like your own, this spider skeleton figure is similar.
