Looking for an honest Bluprint review? Wondering if this creative learning community is it worth the subscription cost? I'm sharing all the details about this unique platform below!

A laptop computer tilted on an angle with the Bluprint website on it.

This post contains affiliate links. If you purchase something after clicking a link, I may receive a small commission (at no additional cost to you).

I don't know about you, but I love exploring new cooking techniques and trying my hand at different crafts.

While you can find info about almost anything online these days, sometimes to the best (and easiest) way to learn a new skill is by taking an actual class ... with all the info in one convenient place. Which is why (spoiler alert) I love Bluprint!

Bluprint is an online creative learning community where you can take cooking, crafting, and art classes in an easy to follow video format. You can even purchase craft patterns and supplies while you're there.

I'm sharing my full review below, plus tips for getting the most out of the platform ... keep reading for all the fun details!

Try it out by taking a shorter FREE Blueprint Class today!

    What is Bluprint?

Bluprint is a subscription streaming service that offers classes for all of your passions and hobbies ... cooking, crafts, photography, art, home decor, even fitness.

When you visit the website (or use the app), you'll find inspiration and expert instruction, as well as all the supplies you need to tackle any creative project with confidence. One of the things I love most about them is their top-notch instructors ... we're talking the big names in every field, like Rick Bayless (cooking) and Ann Budd (knitting) to name a couple. You really are learning from the best-of-the-best!

You can sign up for individual classes (some are even free!) or purchase a subscription, which gives you access any of their classes for one low annual or monthly fee. There are classes for beginners, as well as experts, and new content is released weekly.

I have an annual subscription which allows me to watch any of their 1300+ classes whenever I want ... it's such a great deal! Here are some of the benefits:

    • Unlimited access to expert-led classes, patterns, and project ideas
    • An extra 15% off every supply purchase
    • Free US shipping on every order (annual members only)
    • Early access to sales

Are Craftsy and Bluprint the Same?

If you've been a member of the crafting community for a while, you're probably familiar with Craftsy, which was launched in July 2011. Craftsty started out by offering stand alone classes, then added a store, and eventually offered subscriptions. As of January 2019, Craftsy was rebranded as Bluprint to continue providing all the same services (and more).

    Types of Classes

Bluprint hosts a huge range of classes across four different categories: Fabrics + Fiber, Food, Art, and Living. The courses provide detailed instruction, and there's a class for everyone, from beginners to experts. They even offer courses specifically for kids!

I've take a bunch of classes over the years. Some of my favorites have been Urban Sketching in 15 Minutes a Day, Mastering the Art of Pizza, The Flavors of Morocco, The Everyday Guide to Spirits and Cocktails, and Mastering Modern Sauces ... to mention just a few that I've watched recently!

Here's what you can expect to find:

    Fabrics + Fiber

    • Quilting
    • Knitting
    • Sewing
    • Crochet
    • Embroidery

    Food

    • Cake Decorating
    • Baking
    • Cooking

    Art

    • Drawing
    • Painting
    • Photography
    • Writing
    • Paper Crafting
    • Jewelry Making

    Living

    • Home + Garden
    • Woodworking
    • Fitness

    How It Works

As I mentioned above, you can sign up for classes individually, or you can purchase a subscription (which is what I have). Once you purchase an individual class, you will own it forever. If you have a membership, you can watch (and re-watch) any of the classes (as long as you continue your membership).

Each class has a home page ... I've included an example below from the Food Photography: From Plate to Photo course I took recently. This page includes everything you need to know about the class, including an overview, course materials (recipes, patterns, etc.), reviews, and more.

Classes are broken down into individual lessons, which is super helpful. As you watch each lesson, your progress is tracked. So you can pick up exactly where you left off ... even if you stopped in the middle of a lesson.

When you're finished with the class, you can leave a rating, write a comment for the instructor, or even show off what you made.

    Need to Purchase Class Materials?

Bluprint also has a shop, where you can buy everything from fabric to baking pans! Which makes it super easy to put your newly-acquired knowledge into action (or into a delicious cake or beautiful quilt!).

    How Much is a Subscription?

As of April 2020, this is how much a Bluprint subscription costs:

    • Monthly Plan: $7.99 / Month
    • Annual Plan: $79.99 / Year

Both of the subscription plans include a free 7-day trial, so you can easily test it out first. They also have frequent sales on individual classes and subscriptions, which I took advantage of when I signed up for my membership! (Let me know if you ever need a promo code, and I will check if one is available.)

If you're not sure about committing to a subscription, I'd recommend starting with an individual class instead (prices vary) ... or checking out one of Bluprint's free classes.

Bluprint Review ... Is it Worth the Subscription Cost?

As you may have guessed, my Bluprint review is overwhelmingly positive. I purchased a subscription with my own money (this post isn't sponsored), and I've loved every class I've ever taken. I'm confident that anyone who enjoys cooking or crafting would get a ton of benefit from a subscription!

Bluprint is ideal for anyone who wants to learn a new skill from the best-of-the-best instructors, and the subscription price is such a great deal (especially the annual cost). Classes are easy to follow, and I like that you can view the entire class in one sitting, or you can watch the individual lessons whenever you have a few minutes.

I also love that once you purchase a class, you own it forever. So you can go back and watch it as many times as needed. (Or if you have a subscription, you can re-watch it as long as you continue the subscription.)

Ready to try check it out for yourself? You can try Bluprint here!
