lt has been insanely cold here lately. I am talking single digits. All of my activities have been scheduled to ensure that I spend as little time outside as possible.
As much as I'd like, I can't spend every minute cooped up in my apartment, which in an ironic twist has felt like an overheated oven these past few days. I've even had a few events which required dressing up, so I've been searching for a little winter style inspiration (always a fun pastime!).
I love this classic outfit that I spotted Allison Williams wearing. She looks sharp, yet warm, although I'd definitely add a scarf and hat for this crazy NYC weather!
Here's how to get the look:
Sweater: There is nothing cozier than a turtleneck sweater, especially in a luxurious knit. This Nordstrom Cashmere Turtleneck (50% off right now!) is a great option.
Skirt: I love how Allison Williams paired a mostly black outfit with a navy skirt ... so chic! This Jones New York 'Lucy' Seasonless Stretch Pencil Skirt has a perfectly tailored style and medium weight fabric that can be worn year round.
Jacket: A classic camel-colored coat, like this Liz Claiborne Wool Blend Chesterfield Coat, will never go out of style.
Boots: These Jack Rogers 'Marianne' Booties have the cutest scalloped edge around the ankle. Wear them now with tights and a skirt and with boyfriend jeans when the weather starts to warm up.
Hosiery: I have it on good authority from a coworker that these Express Sweater Fleece Tights are the best! The fleece will keep you extra warm, and bonus: they're on sale right now (buy one, get one 50% off). Snap up a couple pairs to get you through spring.
Gloves: Is there anything worse than having to remove your gloves to answer your phone or send a text? Brr. These Fownes Brothers Leather Gloves are tech friendly, and even better, they are lined in cashmere. Have I mentioned that I love cashmere?!?
Lipstick: Get Allison's bold lip with MILANI's Color Statement Lipstick in Rose Hip. It's super affordable and one of my favorites to boot!
Bag: I don't think Allison's even carrying a bag, but I don't have people to hold my things like she probably does! Sole Society's 'Quentin' Vegan Mini Bucket Bag is a super stylish option.
Jewelry: This is a very simple outfit, so add some subtle edge with your jewelry. I love Bauble Bar's Ice Zig Zag Ear Crawlers and Contrast Spike Ring Set (on sale for $14 right now!).
So, what do you think? Is this an outfit you'd wear?

Love this outfit, it's totally my style. That vegan bucket bag is awesome!
I am completely in love with that bag, too, Linda! 🙂
