Happy Friday! I've been enjoying beautiful fall weather and colors in New York this week.
Colorful trees surrounding the Central Park Reservoir.
Last Saturday, I went for my usual morning walk around the Central Park Reservoir. The leaves were so pretty, that I ended up spending a couple hours walking around taking it all in. It was the perfect day!
Here are my favorite links from the week, plus a few of my photos of the gorgeous fall colors.
This post on the Top 10 Most Stylish Food Celebrities is worth a peek. Somehow, Alton Brown ended up on top!
As a photography lover, I've really enjoyed perusing My Daguerreotype Boyfriend. There are some real hotties in that bunch 😉
Making It Lovely has a great roundup of pretty earrings, along with some musings on multiple ear piercings (hello, 90's!).
Buildings and trees reflected in The Pool in Central Park.
Here's a fun idea for your next party: mini cream cheese pies with a topping bar. Yum!
Princess Kate looks lovely in this article about London Poppy Day. What really caught my eye though was Prince William's comment on the pleasures of riding public transportation ... ha!
Unexpected architectural elements are the best. Check out this built-in indoor playhouse (scroll down) and this secret library door (pretty much my childhood dream).
Treetop view of the city!
These salted caramel pretzel brownies look delicious and easy to make, too.
Do you read the blog "I Suwannee"? It's written by Jamie Meares, the owner of Furbish Studio. (I'm dying to visit that store one day, and it's perhaps more likely now that I live on the East Coast.) All of this is a very loooong way of saying that she wrote a post on how to furb up your turkey day. I love the colorful, collected look; plus, there is an awesome-sounding cocktail!
I'm curious to try this easy, green dry shampoo alternative.
Pretty leaves on a quiet path around the Great Hill.
We are entering the season of comfort food. Why not try a lasagna grilled cheese sandwich? It looks much better than it sounds, I promise!
Make a mini washi tape bookmark - so cute!
Have you tried a mug cake? They can be dangerous (two minutes to make cake!) and hit or miss, but I've tried and like this chocolate-peanut butter mug cake, and this pumpkin coffee cake in a mug looks good, too.
Sometimes I like to take pictures of people without them knowing ... ha ha.
Here's a fun guide to champagne cocktails. I think we could all use a few more of those in our lives, am I right?
I'm in love with this easy, yet glam look. Someone needs to help me find a budget-friendly version of that coat!
Invite your friends over for a chocolate tasting.
The city peeking through the colorful trees. According to my husband, Phil Collins (supposedly) lives in the place with the spire.
This DIY chalkboard calendar is really cool, and you won't believe what they used to hold the date in place.
A pretty street view.
Why not kick off your weekend with a pomegranate margarita?
What are your plans for the weekend? Do tell!
P.S. Follow me on Pinterest to keep up with everything that catches my eye!
Very pretty pictures! I wish the trees turned pretty like that here. Thanks so much for stopping by chapter37 and for your kind comment!
Thanks so much, Abby! I didn't think the trees were going to turn such pretty colors, but everything popped at the same time once the weather got cold:)
