Hi, friends! Thanks for stopping by today! Are you counting down the minutes until the weekend begins?
Last weekend, my husband and I spent an afternoon in Flushing (part of Queens), where there's a huge Chinatown. We got two huge plates of tasty dumplings - lamb for him, veggie for me - and paid less than $10. I couldn't even eat all of mine! It's nearly impossible to find a bargain like that in pricey NYC, so we have plans to go back for seconds soon.
While we were there, we headed to Flushing Meadows Corona Park (see pics below). The World's Fair was held there in 1939 and again in 1964. Most of the landmarks from the Fair are long gone, but a few remain. It's a huge park and a fun escape from Manhattan, especially when dumplings are involved!
I predict that this weekend will be much quieter. There will probably be a movie night and popcorn though. That always makes me happy!
