I have such a fun post for you today ... learn how to master the cat eye with one easy trick!
If you are like me, the cat eye is one those tricky makeup techniques that's hard to perfect. Even with lots of practice, I think I have about a 50% success rate. I usually need to start over multiple times and sometimes I give up. It's that flick on the end ... so tricky!
Thankfully, I discovered an easy trick, and I can't wait to show you how to master the cat eye, too.

Did you know that most eye drops contain preservatives? They help to make sure no bacteria grows in the bottle. The problems is, preservatives don’t contribute to eye relief, and some people, like me, are sensitive to them. Preservative free eye drops exist, but they are expensive and sold in inconvenient, wasteful single-dose vials.
So I was excited to learn that Clear Eyes® (the #1 selling brand of eye drops) has launched a revolutionary innovation: Clear Eyes® Pure Relief™ for Dry Eyes, the first preservative free eye drops in a multi-dose bottle at retail in the US.

The lubricating drops keep my eyes feeling great and are perfect for anyone with dry eyes, whether it's an ongoing condition or due to something like the wind or too much screen time.

Start by applying foundation, concealer, and powder as you normally would. I also placed a little rosy blush on the apples of my cheeks for some color. Then, it's time to do your eyebrows.
I never, ever skip my brows. Full brows really frame the eye and only take a minute to fill in. Check out below how much more the eye on right pops ... without any makeup! I use an eyebrow pencil with a brush on the end to keep it quick and simple.

Getting the perfect flick is the hardest part of the cat eye technique. The tape keeps the liner neat and give you a sharp edge, so even if your hands are a little shaky, it still looks good.
You need a small piece of transparent tape. Simply press it gently on the skin at the corner of your eye. To get the right angle, line the edge of the tape up with the corner of your nose.
Then, draw a line from the outer half of your eye out and over the edge of the tape. I like to use liquid liner with a felt tip. A firm felt tip will give you more control than a brush tip liner.

I recommend practicing on your hand first to help build your confidence.

If you make any mistakes, dip a cotton swab in makeup remover, then wipe the swab over any areas you need to clean up. As you can see, I got a little liner on my lower lash line, and it came right off with a little makeup remover.

Then, I applied a neutral shadow and a couple coats of my favorite mascara. You eyes are going to seriously pop!

How pretty is this look? It makes me wish I had a party to go to! This easy cat eye would be perfect during the holidays or anytime you want to feel a little glamorous.

I've got a shaky hand - must try this! You look beautiful, Ginnie!
