I'm finally starting to unpack my spring and summer clothes. This may be the latest I've ever done that, but then again, I wore my winter jacket last week!
As I'm going through my closet, I've been making note of the holes in my wardrobe. I don't need a lot, but I put together a spring wish list with a few things I'd like to pick up.
I need a few drapey tees and blouses that will work with jeans and shorts. I love anything with lace details, so this Two by Vince Camuto Lace Yoke Top caught my eye right away. How cool is this Eileen Fisher Cap Sleeve Scoop Neck? It would look gorgeous with white skinny jeans. Finally, this Chelsea28 Surplice Chiffon Top is just so pretty and could be dressed up or down.
Maxi Dress
Can you believe that I don't own any maxi dresses or skirts? I love the style, but I've never found quite the right one. Plus, I'm tall, often they're just too short. This Alternative Apparel Racerback Maxi Dress has been on my list for a while, and I think it might be the one. The super casual style is perfect for weekends. I'm picturing it topped with a jean jacket and scarf.
Bottoms
I'd like to add a few classic bottoms that will get me through this spring and the next. I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans, but I've come to the conclusion that they're just not flattering on me. These Big Star 'Kate' Straight Leg Jeans are a good compromise. They're slim fitting, but a little looser at the hem and are long enough to roll up. White short go with everything, and these KUT from the Kloth 'Catherine' Boyfriend Shorts are the perfect length. Lastly, I'd like to add a fun skirt to my wardrobe. This Striped A-Line Skirt from The Limited would get a ton of wear. It can be worn with a simple tee or dressed up for work.
Romper
I'm dying to add a cute romper to my closet, but they tend to skew fairly juvenile. I love Catherine Malandrino's 'Delphine' Romper. It has a simple cut, a pretty pattern, and it's not too short. Looks perfect to me!
Accessories
I can never have enough accessories, and The Limited has some great ones right now. This Long Bead Dangle Necklace is light enough to wear all summer long. A Colorful Chevron Scarf will dress up the most basic outfit (it would look great with that maxi dress!), and I'd wear this Rustic Charm Bracelet, with it's pretty turquoise bauble, nonstop.
Sunnies
I already have quite a few pairs of sunglasses, but I like to add a new pair or two each season. These Cole Haan Rectangular Sunglasses are exactly what I'm looking for. I love the fun shape and bold blue color.
Shoes
A girl can never have too many shoes, right? That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it! Espadrilles are always a favorite of mine, and these Soludos Classic Stripe Espadrilles are just perfect. The perforated leather detail on the back of these Sole Society Teresa Sandals is super pretty. Plus, this style is so comfortable, that it almost feels like I'm walking barefoot. Peep toe booties have slowly grown on me, and these Report Signature Blade Booties are cute and trendy. I'll wear them with everything from my faux boyfriend jeans to pretty spring dresses.

I need to go through my closet and do the same thing...I don't like getting caught without a basic especially when I need it for something! Those shoes! No a girl can NEVER have too many shoes! 😀
No, it's just not possible, Heather;)
