There is something about all the pink and hearts surrounding Valentine's Day that makes me happy.

It's all so cute, you know? And I am definitely a sucker for anything cute!

Homemade Valentine's Day decorations are my fave, and I'd been brainstorming Valentine's Day ideas for a few weeks when I spotted some darling mini flags at Paper Source.

I loved the cute inspirational messages, and I thought, why not make my own no sew Valentine's Day flag?

This No Sew Valentine's Day Flag could not be easier to make. The secret is printable fabric and Stitch Witchery.

I've created an Always + Forever design for you to download (scroll to the end of the post for the free printable) and print on the printable fabric. You could also create your own design with PicMonkey or another graphics programs.

This was my first time using printable fabric, and I sense an addiction coming on! It was super easy to work with and my print turned out great ... even using my crappy printer. 😉

A brick wall with the finished flag hanging on it.

After the design was printed, I used Stitch Witchery to bond the seams together.

If you've never used this wonderful product before, you are going to love it. Basically, Stitch Witchery fuses fabric together when heated with a hot iron; no sewing required.

This cute No Sew Valentine's Day Flag took minutes to make, and I'm so happy with how it turned out! I think I'm going to make a few to send to friends and family.

How to Make a Valentine's Day Flag

Would you like to make your own Valentine's Day Flag? Here's what you'll need:

    • free Always + Forever printable (there's a free file at the end of the post)
    • printable fabric sheets
    • iron
    • Stitch Witchery (fusable bonding web)
    • scissors
    • ⅜-inch diameter dowel (cut 8.25-inches long)
    • baker's twine

Start by printing the Always + Forever file on a sheet of printable fabric. Check your print settings to make sure you are not shrinking the file to fit the page. You want the stripes to print as close to the edge of the fabric as possible.

Carefully remove the paper backing from the fabric, then press the fabric with a hot iron to set the colors.

A hand peeling paper from the back of the fabric.

You'll make the point on the flag next. Fold in one corner starting about ¼-inch below the third stripe and ending in the middle of the flag (see below).

Use a hot iron to press folded fabric toward back of flag, then trim excess fabric about ½-inch from fold.Repeat process on other side of flag.

Insert Stitch Witchery into seams and press with iron to bond the seam closed.

Fold one of the side seams over ½-inch, then press flat with your iron. Repeat on the other side.

Insert Stitch Witchery into the seams and press with the iron to bond the seams closed.

Fold the top of the flag over 1.25-inches.

Insert a thin ¼-inch strip of Stitch Witchery under the raw fabric edge (see below).

Press with a hot iron to bond the seam.

A hand folding a pocket at the top of the flag.

Slide the dowel into the top of the flag.

    Cut a 16.5-inch piece of baker's twine.

Tie a double knot around one end of the dowel (just outside the flag), then trim excess. Repeat on the other side.

Hands tying string to the flag.

That's it! Your adorable no sew Valentine's Day Flag is finished.

    Wasn't that easy?
