If you're looking for a unique iced coffee recipe, you have to try this refreshing Orange Coffee! This delicious drink was inspired by my Grapefruit Coffee Spritz, one of my favorite cold coffee drinks ever! This recipe uses very similar ingredients, so if you like this drink, make sure to try that one next.

Coffee and orange juice might seem like a strange combination, but it's actually quite popular and really delicious. Many versions of this drink use espresso, but my recipe is made with cold brew, which gives it a smoother, more balanced flavor.

If you love bright flavors this iced coffee is for you! I wanted to recreate this coffee shop favorite at home with as little fuss as possible, and I know you're going to love the end result. It's lightly sweetened flavor is absolutely irresistible, and the addition of bubbly water turns it into a sparkling coffee that so light and fresh tasting.

Best of all, this flavorful coffee drink is super quick and easy to make! You only need five minutes and four ingredients. Perfect for hot summer days when you want to spend as little time in the kitchen as possible ... although it's so delish, you'll want to enjoy it year round!

    Ingredients

This recipe uses simple, easy to find ingredients! Here's what you'll need:

    • Coffee - You'll need some unsweetened coffee, and purchasing pre-made cold brew keeps things quick and easy. You could also make your own cold brew, if you prefer, or you can use leftover cold coffee, or even espresso. Tip: I personally prefer using a smooth tasting dark roast for this drink, because it balances the sweet OJ, but you can experiment with different roasts and blends to find your own favorite.
    • Orange Juice - This drink is naturally sweetened with OJ. You can use store bought orange juice or fresh squeezed ... it's up to you! I recommend using pulp free juice for a smoother drink.
    • Vanilla - A few drops of vanilla extract give this Orange Cold Brew a hint of flavor and a suggestion of sweetness without adding any additional sugar. For a sweeter drink, replace the extract with vanilla syrup.
    • Sparkling Water - You'll top off the drink with sparkling water, which lightens it up and adds a little carbonation. I typically use mineral water (Topo Chico is my go-to), but club soda, soda water, or tonic water will also work.

This refreshing cold coffee drink is naturally vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, and gluten free!

    You'll Also Need

You'll need a measuring cup to portion the juice and cold brew, plus a tall glass (such as a 16-ounce tumbler), to make and serve the drink. I also recommend serving the drink with a reusable straw for easy sipping.

    How to Make Orange Coffee

This coffee with orange juice couldn't be easier to make! You'll find a detailed recipe card below, but here's an overview of the steps:

    1. Fill glass with ice. Start by filling a tall glass about three-quarters full with ice.
    2. Add OJ. Pour the orange juice over the ice.
    3. Top with cold brew. Add the cold brew next.
    4. Add vanilla + sparkling water. Finish by adding a few drops of vanilla extract, then top off the drink with sparkling water. Stir well before drinking.

Wasn't that easy? You'll be sipping this delicious Orange Coffee drink in no time ... cheers!

    Variations

This Orange Iced Coffee recipe is fun and easy to customize! Here are a few ideas to try:

    • Coffee - Experiment with different coffee roasts, leftover cold coffee, or espresso in place of the cold brew. If you use a lighter roast, you may want to use less orange juice, so it doesn't overpower the flavor of the drink.
    • Juice - You can make this drink with other juices, such as grapefruit, lemon juice, or even lemonade. If you use lemon juice, you may want to balance the tart juice with a splash of simple syrup.
    • Sparkling Water - Various kinds of carbonated waters, such as mineral water, club soda, seltzer, tonic water, and soda water can be used.
    • Garnish - For a fancy finishing touch, garnish the drink with a dried orange slice, fresh slice, or orange peel twist.
    • Syrup - If you'd prefer a sweeter drink, add a little syrup, such as vanilla, hazelnut, chocolate, or caramel.
    • Latte - Replace the sparkling water with your favorite milk.
