Are you excited that football season is finally here? I know I am!
I have to admit that my favorite thing about game day is spending time with family and friends.
When I was a kid, Sundays were spent gathered around the TV watching the game and enjoying our time together. And today, a weekend rarely passes without catching a game (or three) with my husband!
Throwing a watching party is one of my favorite ways to get everyone together at this time of year, so I'm super excited to share my free football themed party printables with you. They're the perfect addition to game day!
Football Party Printables
If you want to take your game day get together to the next level, these free football themed party printables are a great way to do it!
I'm sharing free printable PDFs for all these football party decorations: three banners options, bottle wraps, four festive pennants, mini football toppers, and cards for labeling your food.
Everything is well coordinated to give your table an awesome game day look!
I've also include blank banners and pennants for you to add your own game day message to!
My free football themed party printables were inspired by these cool SNICKERS bars with special football themed packaging that I found at CVS!
The wrappers sport a football print and come emblazoned with fun football lingo, like Benched, Sacked, and Defensive ... aren't they perfect for game day?
I'm lucky that my local CVS is just a block away from my apartment. You can find me heading there multiple times a week for my everyday staples, and of course, it's a one stop shop with everything I need for game day!
How to Assemble the Printables
You can get the PDFs for these free printable football party decorations at the end of the post. For best results, make sure to print the files in cardstock.
All of the football printables are easy to put together with simple supplies, and I'll show you how to do it step-by-step below.
Pennants and Football Toppers
Let's start with the pennants and the football toppers. You'll need:
- transparent tape
- toothpicks for toppers
- skewers or thin dowels for the pennants.
Simply cut out the pennants and toppers, then use the tape to attach the toothpicks to the back of toppers and the skewers to the back of the pennants.
Use a couple layers of tape on the pennants to make sure they are secure.
Bottle Wraps
You'll need double sided tape for the bottle wraps.
Cut out the wraps, then use one piece of tape to attach the wrap to the bottle. Wrap the paper around the bottle, then use another piece of tape to secure the label.
Tip: labels can be cut down if you are using smaller bottles.
Football Party Banners
For the banner, you'll need
- hole punch
- twine
- something to adhere the banner to your wall (tape, Command hooks, etc.).
Cut out the flags, then punch a hole in the top two corners of each flag.
Cut a long piece of twine, run the twine through one hole (from the front of the flag), then pull the twine along the back of the flag and up through the other hole (from the back of the flag).
Repeat with the remaining flags, then hang the banner on your wall using tape or another method.
For my party, I used my Game Day banner. I wanted to give you lots of options though, so I also included PDFs for Touchdown and Snack Bar banners, as well as blank flags for you to add your own message (use letter stickers).
Tip: Make the banner longer by adding extra blank flags on either end.
Table Labels
The table labels are so easy to assemble!
Simply cut them out, fold them in half, and then write your message ... a Sharpie works great.
I need to work on my handwriting!
I love how these free football themed party printables gave my table a cohesive and fun look!
They're awesome for game day, but these free football printables are also perfect if you're looking for football themed birthday party ideas.
I love the fun football lingo on the wraps, too!
How cute are these mini football toppers?
Use them to add a festive touch to cupcakes or other desserts and bite sized treats.
The pennants just might be my favorite element of these free football themed party printables! Use them to cheer on your team as they score and during tense moments, too.
These pennants would be perfect for a DIY football themed photo booth!
Add some fun accessories from around your home, then set everything up by a blank wall and you're all set.
