Have you been following along with birthday week here at Hello Little Home?
I’ve shared so many fun ideas: a delish Raspberry Bellini, an adorable Birthday Cake Pops with Sprinkles, and the cutest Mini Funfetti Cakes!
I love coming up with a creative theme for my birthday every year. I’ve done Pink and Gold, Fiesta, and even French-Themed. This year, it’s all about sprinkles!
This Sprinkles Birthday Party is fun, colorful, and easy to recreate on a budget. And it's perfect for kids and adults alike!
How to Create a Sprinkles Birthday Party
I am so in love with how this fun, colorful birthday party theme turned out! It was super easy to set up and affordable, too.
This easy DIY party theme is easy to customize with your own colors, and you could even change the message from Happy Birthday to the guest of honor's name, or even something like Congrats.

Sprinkles Birthday Party Invitations
It isn't a party without an invitation, right?
An invitation helps set the tone for your party, and I found a few invites that work perfectly with this colorful theme!

Sprinkles Birthday Party Backdrop
The star of this party is the vibrant backdrop!
How fun is that Happy Birthday Balloon Banner? I've wanted to use one of these balloon banners for a while. So when I spotted this one, I couldn't pass it up.
Just be aware .... this banner is huge (compare it to my hand below). The letters are 16-inches tall, and I live in a tiny apartment. Which is why I had to cut down BIRTHDAY to BDAY (ha). If you have a bigger wall than I do, it shouldn't be a problem though.
You can buy these foil balloons in individual letters or numbers and with other sayings (different sizes and colors are available, too), so it's possible to completely customize your message.
Of course, I needed to add some sprinkles to my tables. So I made a few DIY Tissue Paper Pom Poms in different colors and attached them to the wall with double sided tape.
These pom poms take minutes to make and look so colorful and festive!
Plus, if you're able to store the pom poms, you can reuse them for other parties. The pink poms are from last year's Pink and Gold Birthday Party, and then I used them for my Waffle Ice Cream Sundae Bar, too. So they've held up really well.
I chose colors that were similar to actual candy sprinkles, but feel free to customize your poms using whatever colors you'd like.
They key to this sprinkles backdrop is to let the bold colors pop. You can do that by creating a neutral white background for all the bright colors.
I covered my table with a piece of white eyelet fabric, but any white tablecloth works. This rainbow sprinkles tablecloth would be super cute, too!
To add another pop of color to the table, I made a tissue paper table runner. I simply folded the tissue paper to fit the length and width of my table, then punched out different colors of tissue and sprinkled them over the top.
It was very easy to make, but the "sprinkles" did move around a bit during the party.
Don't forget plates and napkins!
I can't find the exact plates and napkins I used online (they're from Michaels), but Amazon has lots of cute options.
Sprinkles Birthday Party Menu
In keeping with the sprinkles party theme, I kept the menu sweet. Candy, cookies, cakes, and even some donuts ... my teeth still hurt a little!
One fun thing I like to do for parties is to create a little menu board. It's a cute way to pull together your table, and let people know what they're eating at the same time.
This tabletop chalkboard is similar to mine. I used a chalkboard marker to add the text (so much easier than regular chalk).
So what did I serve?
I prefer to do a combination of homemade and store bought food for parties. That way you're not losing your mind trying to finish cooking as your guests arrive. I've done that before, and trust me, it's no fun!
For this party, I looked for foods that were sweet and delicious ... and fit in with my color scheme.
White donuts and yogurt-covered pretzels helped keep the table from looking too over-the-top. Plus, who doesn't love a donut?
I also included a fun, colorful throwback to my childhood ... Dum Dums! And I added cute sprinkle cookies that I found at my local grocery store.
For a fun cocktail, I made Raspberry Bellinis.
Although, you may notice I called them Raspberry Mimosas on my little chalkboard. Oops!
You could easily make this cocktail nonalcoholic by using sparkling water instead of champagne.
These adorable Mini Funfetti Cakes fit the theme perfectly, and they were easy to make.
One cake is big enough to share ... or not!
And finally, I made these sweet Birthday Cake Pops covered in sprinkles.
They turned out so cute, and everyone (and their mother) loves a cake pop!

My table was too small to squeeze anything else on though!
Didn't this party turn out so cute?
