Ingredients
You need just three basic ingredients to make this delectable sauce:
- Sriracha - While there are many brands to choose from, in my opinion the iconic Huy Fong sriracha sauce (sometimes called rooster sauce, because of the bird on its label) is the absolute best.
- Mayonnaise - I've made this recipe with regular mayo and plant based mayonnaise (I like Hellman's for both), and it turns out great either way. Kewpie mayo is also delish.
- Salt - A pinch of kosher salt enhances the other flavors.
- Other Ingredients - I like to keep things simple, but you can customize the recipe by adding other ingredients (such as garlic and lime juice). Check out the Variations section below for tips.
This spicy sauce is naturally vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, and nut free. Use plant based mayo to make it vegan.

How to Make Mayo with Sriracha Sauce
This Spicy Flavored Mayo Sauce is super simple to make, and you'll find a recipe card with measurements below. I could go into a long, drawn out description, but basically, all you do is stir together the mayonnaise and sriracha, plus a pinch of salt.
That's all there is to it. This scrumptious DIY Sriracha Mayo truly couldn't be easier to make, so throw together a batch anytime your dinner needs a little something extra!

Variations
You can easily customize this homemade Sriracha Aioli by making a simple substitution or two:
- Hot Sauce - Swap out the sriracha for another hot sauce. I like to use sambal oelek, or for a little Mexican flair, the adobo sauce from a can of chipotle peppers. Add to taste!
- Garlic - Add a minced garlic clove or a half teaspoon of garlic powder.
- Lime - Mix in a squeeze of fresh lime juice for an extra tangy flavor. Just keep in mind that the more juice you add, the thinner the sauce will become.
- Sesame - Stir in a few drops of toasted sesame oil.
- Honey - Blend in a some honey for a touch of sweetness.
- Vegan - Use a plant based mayo.
- Spicier / Less Spicy - Adjust the amount of sriracha (to taste) depending on how hot or mild you'd prefer the sauce to be. Start with one to two teaspoons if you prefer milder flavors.

How to Use
Mayonnaise and sriracha were made for each other! Use this mouthwatering sauce to spice up any breakfast, lunch, or dinner:
- Burgers - It makes the best burger sauce! Try it on my Black Bean and Edamame Burgers for starters.
- Tacos - This spicy sauce is super tasty drizzled over tacos. I used it for these Black Bean Breakfast Tacos, but it would also be delish on these Portobello Tacos and these easy Tofu Tacos.
- Sushi + Poke - Serve with sushi just like they do at your favorite restaurant, or add it to a poke bowl. It's the perfect addition to this yummy Watermelon Poke Bowl!
- Sandwiches - Slather this spicy sauce on any sandwich (try it on my Tomato Avocado Sandwich or a homemade Bahn Mi) for an instant flavor boost. I love using it on Breakfast Sandwiches, too!
- Bowls - Use it as a topping for your favorite bowl meals. It would be wonderful on this Roasted Veggie Quinoa Bowl or this Banh Mi Bowl.
- Veggies - Spoon the creamy sauce over steamed, roasted, or grilled vegetables.
- Dipping Sauce - Serve alongside veggies, chips, and fries as a spicy dipping sauce. I love it paired with my Roasted Sweet Potato Fries or Halloumi Fries and other handheld foods, like Spring Rolls, Pigs in a Blanket, or Taquitos.

Storage
Storage leftover sauce in an airtight container in your refrigerator, where it will stay fresh for up to one week.
