    Ginnie's Take

A few weeks ago, I found myself with boatload of fresh peaches, and they all needed to be used up immediately (of course). After making a crumble and a crisp, I started brainstorming savory peach recipes. Then remembered that I also had a ball of pizza dough in my fridge and inspiration struck. If you enjoy the combination of sweet and savory flavors, you're sure to LOVE this homemade Peach Pizza!

    Why You'll Love This Recipe

    • Unique Flavor - This scrumptious pizza recipe pairs fresh, juicy peaches with a creamy ricotta sauce, a peaches and cream inspired combo that's impossible to resist. A drizzle of hot honey and a sprinkle of fresh basil add even more flavor to this mouthwatering pie.
    • Easy to Make - You need just a few simple ingredients to make this yummy recipe, and it's very easy to make. You'll be in and out of the kitchen in no time!
    • Perfect for Peach Lovers - While peaches on pizza might seem a little unusual, they actually make a very tasty sweet + savory topping. If you're a peach lover, you won't be able to stop at one slice!

    Ingredients

This recipe uses basic ingredients you can find in any grocery store! Here's what you'll need:

    • Peaches - You'll use fresh peaches, of course! For the best results, choose the most fragrant, flavorful peaches that you can find. Ripe peaches should have a little give when you squeeze them, and for this recipe you don't want them to be over-ripe or too soft, because they will be hard to handle. Peaches are often hard when you buy them, so let them sit on your counter to ripen for a few days, if necessary, before making the recipe.
    • Dough - Feel free to make your own pizza dough, or buy a ball at your grocery store.
    • Ricotta Topping - The creamy sauce on this white pizza give the recipe a savory peaches and cream flavor and luscious texture that you're sure to love. It's made with a mixture of ricotta cheese, fresh lemon zest, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
    • Mozzarella - You'll top the ricotta mixture with fresh mozzarella. I recommend avoiding mozzarella balls that have been packed in water, because they may add too much liquid to your pizza. You can also pat the ball dry after removing it from the packaging, if needed.
    • Honey - A drizzle of hot honey adds a little heat, and it complements the pizza pie's sweet-savory flavor so well. If you can't find hot honey, you can use regular honey, plus crushed red pepper flakes instead. Not a spicy food lover? Just use regular honey.
    • Basil - A sprinkle of fresh basil is the perfect finishing touch!

This recipe is naturally vegetarian and nut free!

    You'll Also Need

You'll need a small bowl to mix together the ricotta topping, a sharp knife for prepping the ingredients, as well as a pan to bake the pizza. I have (and love) this pizza pan! A zester also comes in handy for zesting the lemon, and this microplane zester is one of my fave kitchen tools.

    How to Make Peach Pizza

This mouthwatering White Pizza with Peaches couldn't be easier to make! You'll find a detailed recipe card below, but here's an overview of the steps:

    1. Make ricotta topping. Start by stirring together the ricotta, lemon zest, and garlic. Then season the mixture to taste with salt and pepper.
    2. Press dough onto pan. Brush your pan lightly with olive oil, then top with the dough, stretching and pressing it out to the edges of the pan. Tip: If your dough contracts and won't hold its shape, let it rest for about five minutes, then try again. You may need to repeat this process a few times.
    3. Spread ricotta topping over dough. Use a spatula or spoon to spread the ricotta mixture evenly over the dough.
    4. Top ricotta with mozzarella. Cut your mozzarella into thin slices, then arrange it over the ricotta.
    5. Add peaches. Lay the peaches over the mozzarella.
    6. Bake. Transfer the pizza to your oven, then bake it until the crust is browned and crisp and the toppings are hot.
    7. Drizzle with hot honey. Remove the pizza from your oven, then drizzle it with hot honey.
    8. Sprinkle with basil. A sprinkle of fresh basil is the perfect finishing touch!

All righty, time to enjoy your homemade Peach Pizza ... wasn't that each to make?

    Variations

This recipe is perfect as-is, but fun to customize! Here are a few easy ideas to try:

    • Fruit - You can make this recipe with other fresh fruits, such as nectarines or plums, too.
    • Cheese - For an extra cheesy pizza, sprinkle crumbled feta, goat, or gorgonzola cheese over the peaches before baking.
    • Hot Honey - If you can't find hot honey, you can use a combination of regular honey and crushed red pepper flakes instead
    • Less Spicy - If you're not a spicy food lover, use regular honey instead of the hot honey, or add a diced poblano before baking for a mild heat.
    • Extra Spicy - For a spicier pizza, scatter a diced or sliced jalapeño over the pie before baking or sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes before serving.
    • Herbs - Replace the basil with fresh thyme or rosemary.
    • Pesto - Drizzle homemade pesto sauce over the pizza before serving or use it as a pizza sauce instead of the ricotta topping.

    Serving Suggestions

Serve this summer pizza with a simple salad (such as this Tossed Green Salad, Kale Cranberry Salad, Garden Veggie Salad, or this Easy Chopped Salad), and dinner is done! Homemade Garlic Bread or Garlic Bread with Cheese would make an irresistible addition to your meal, too.

    Storage

Store leftover Peach Ricotta Pizza in an airtight container in your refrigerator, where it will stay fresh for about two to three days. You can reheat the pizza gently in your air fryer or microwave, or for the crispiest crust, place the slices on a baking sheet and bake for about five minutes at 450 degrees.

    Notes

I used a 14-inch pizza pan when making for this recipe. If you're looking for a great pan, this USA Pan Pizza Pan is truly the BEST!
If your pizza dough contracts and resists spreading on the pan, let it rest for few minutes before continuing. Resting relaxes the gluten, making it easier to spread.
