About the Ballot
This Oscar nominations list includes every nominated movie, actor, and award category. The multi-page version has a fun bonus page, too. Use it to keep track of your red carpet favorites, like best and worst dressed actors, funniest speech, craziest moment, and more!
These templates are super versatile, too. You can use this printable 2025 Oscar Ballot now to track the movies you still need to watch. Then during the actual awards ceremony on Sunday, March 2, use it to note the award winners! Best of all, these printable PDFs are totally FREE, and they're guaranteed to make awards season extra fun!
Check out my tips below for using the ballot as a scorecard, along with information on where to stream the nominated movies. And whether you're hanging out in your PJs during the ceremony or throwing a party, my party decor and food ideas are sure to make your Oscar Night extra exciting!
How to Use the Ballot as a Scorecard
To make things extra fun, I recommend predicting the winners for each category before the awards ceremony starts. Each ballot has a line (or box) where you can mark your predictions. Then during the show, you can see if your guesses were accurate!
You can also use the ballot as a scorecard. Simply keep track as the winner are announced, then award points for each of the categories you guess correctly. I like to use the following points spread:
- Best Picture = 10 points
- Best Actor / Actress = 5 points
- Everything Else = 2 points
If you're hosting a party, don't forget about prices ... the guest with the most points at the end of the ceremony is the winner! And you can make things extra exciting by surprising them with a small prize, like a bottle of wine, movie game or movie trivia book, or one of these gold award trophies (my favorite idea)!

Assembling the Ballots
To use the one page ballot, simply print it out, and you're all set. The multi-page ballot can also be printed and used as-is, or you can fasten the pages together with ribbon (like I've shown in the photos). They're actually quite easy to assemble like this, and they look super festive ... perfect for a party!
Supplies
- Oscar Ballot Printable - Get the PDF at the end of this post.
- White Cardstock - You'll use it when printing the ballots.
- Self-Healing Mat - The best way protect your table while cutting the cardstock.
- Metal-Edge Ruler - A metal-edged ruler is a must for cutting a straight line with the utility knife.
- Utility Knife - This super sharp utility knife makes cutting through the cardstock a breeze.
- Hole Punch - You'll need it to make holes for the ribbon.
- Ribbon - Look for ⅝-inch wide ribbon. Grosgrain works really well. I used this navy and white striped ribbon.
- Scissors - Make sure your scissors are super sharp for the best results when cutting the ribbon.
Tip: Through the years, I've used different methods for assembling the ballots. Check out my ideas from 2015 to 2024 here for inspiration ... the layered look I did last year is a favorite!
Directions
Follow these easy step-by-step directions when assembling the printable templates. If you're making a few ballots, you'll save time by working assembly-line style vs. working on each ballot individually. You also find photos of the whole process below, if you need a visual guide.
- Cut ballots in half. Start by downloading the ballot PDF, then print it on cardstock (at FULL SIZE). Using the self-healing mat, ruler, and utility knife, cut the ballots in half, then put the pages in order. Tip: Letter size paper is 11-inches long, so the center (where you will cut) is 5.5-inches.
- Punch holes in pages. With your hole punch, make a hole in the top-center of the first page, about halfway between from the edge and the text. Then using the hole as your guide, punch holes in the remaining pages. Tip: It's easiest to punch through two to three pages at one time.
- Prep ribbon. Cut an eight-inch piece of ribbon, then fold it in half. Pull the raw ends of the ribbon through the hole, from the back of the ballots toward the front (roll the ribbon to fit, if needed). You'll have a loop of ribbon on the back side of the ballot when you're finished.
- Pull ribbon ends through loop. Pull the raw ends of the ribbon through the loop, then pull tight to secure the ribbon in place.
- Trim ribbon. Use your scissors to trim the ribbon ends. I cut them on an angle pointing toward the center, but you can angle them in the other direction (or cut them in same direction), if you prefer.
And that's all there is to it ... your ballots are now ready to use! Assembling the ballots like this is an way to keep the pages in order, and it looks great, too.
Don't forget to gather pens for your guests (these gold ballpoints are a lovely option) before the ceremony starts. Then, settle in for a exciting night!

For best results, make sure to print the files on letter-size cardstock, and double check your printer settings. You want to print the files at "full size" (not "shrink to fit page"). If you don't have a good printer (I finally ungraded a laserjet printer, and I love it!), bring the files to your local FedEx Office store. The print quality is much better than most home printers, and you can even order online, then pick up in store (a great way to save time).
