Ginnie's Take
My parents took my sister and I to many parties when we were kids. These parties were mostly attended by adults (boring!), so we usually headed straight to the food. At one of these parties, we parked ourselves in front of a big bowl of dip and proceeded to polish off the whole thing uninterrupted! I still love almost any kind of dip, but this Layered Greek Hummus Dip is one of my favorites. Simply pair it with veggies and chips, and you have a party!
Why You'll Love This Recipe
- Delicious Flavor - The creamy hummus pairs wonderfully with the fresh veggies. It's the perfect combo of textures and fresh flavors.
- Ready in Minutes - Just chop up a few veggies, make the hummus, then throw this layered dip together super quickly!
- Perfect for Parties - This easy recipe is a guaranteed crowd pleaser!

Ingredients
This easy Loaded Hummus recipe is made with simple ingredients you'll find at any grocery store. Here's what you'll need:
- Hummus - I made this layered appetizer with my go to homemade hummus recipe, which is super easy to make! You can, of course, use store bought (this is my favorite brand).
- Feta - Crumbled feta cheese adds tons of flavor this easy dip.
- Veggies - I used a combo of grape tomatoes and cucumbers, but you can change things up by adding green onions, bell peppers, hot peppers, or other vegetables.
- Olives - Briny kalmata olives add a tangy, savory flavor to the dip.
- Herbs - A sprinkle of fresh Parsley is the perfect finishing touch. Dill would be tasty, too.
This recipe is naturally vegetarian, nut free, and gluten free! To make it vegan and dairy free, just skip the feta or use a plant based alternative.
Variations
You can easily switch things up by making this dip with another hummus flavor. My Sun Dried Tomato Hummus, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Olive Hummus, Roasted Garlic Hummus, or Spicy Chipotle Hummus would all be delicious! Or for extra flavor, top the dip a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
How to Make Hummus Layer Dip
This Greek Hummus couldn't be easier to make! You'll find a detailed recipe card below, but here's a quick overview:
- Make hummus. If you're planning to use homemade hummus, prepare that first. You can even make it in advance to save time.
- Spread hummus on a large platter.
- Top it with the crumbled feta.
- Add grape tomatoes, cucumbers, and olives.
- Finish with a sprinkle of parsley.
So simple, right? This Layered Greek Hummus is so tasty that it's hard to stop at one bite. If you're serving a big crowd, make sure to double the recipe.
What to Serve with Greek Hummus Dip
Pair this Greek Layer Dip with fresh veggies (like carrots, celery, and strips of bell pepper), crunchy crackers, or my homemade pita chips for dipping.
